Ambu Laryngeal Mask

The Ambu Laryngeal Mask features a special curve that carefully replicates natural human anatomy. This curve is molded directly into the tube so that insertion is easy, without abrading the upper airway. Moreover, the curve ensures that the patients head remains in a natural, supine position when the mask is in use.

Internal ribs built into the curve give the airway tube the flexibility needed to adapt to individual anatomical variances and a wide range of head positions. Unlike most masks, which have relatively thick cuffs to help withstand repeated use, the Ambu Laryngeal Mask features an extra soft 0.4mm cuff. Thus, the seal more readily conforms to the shape of the airway with significantly less internal pressure. Although the cuff is flexible, the tip itself is thicker helping to prevent folds during insertion that can cause improper positioning and possible airway trauma.
